- Ingredients
- 1 package frozen garlic toast slices about 8 slices
- 1 cup pizza sauce
- 1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup mini pepperoni
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Optional Toppings
- Cooked crumbled Italian sausage
- Diced bell peppers
- Sliced mushrooms
- Black olives
- Diced red onion
- Cooked bacon
- Fresh basil
- Red pepper flakes
Preheat oven: Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Arrange garlic toast: Place the frozen garlic toast slices in a single layer on the baking sheet. Do not thaw.
Add sauce: Spread about 1–2 tablespoons of pizza sauce over each garlic toast slice, leaving a small border around the edges.
Add cheese: Sprinkle mozzarella evenly over each slice, followed by a little Parmesan.
Add toppings: Top with mini pepperoni and any additional toppings you like.
Bake: Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the edges of the garlic toast are golden and crisp.
Finish: Sprinkle with Italian seasoning and let cool for 2–3 minutes before serving.
Serve: Serve warm with extra pizza sauce for dipping, if desired.
- Use frozen garlic toast slices, not plain toast, for the intended garlic-butter flavor.
- Don't overload the toast with sauce or toppings, as too much moisture can make it soft.
- Keep toppings finely chopped so they cook evenly.
- For extra-browned cheese, broil for 30–60 seconds, watching carefully.
- Let children choose and add their own toppings for a fun family dinner activity.
