- 1 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons pumpkin puree
- 1 –2 tablespoons pure maple syrup
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- ¾ teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
- 2 shots espresso
- Whipped cream optional
- Ground cinnamon for topping
Add pumpkin puree, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and pumpkin pie spice to a small saucepan.
Warm over low heat for 1–2 minutes, stirring until smooth and fragrant.
Slowly whisk in the milk and heat until hot and steaming. Do not boil.
Prepare the espresso and pour it into a large mug.
Pour the warm pumpkin milk mixture over the espresso and stir well.
Top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon, if desired.
Serve immediately.
- Use plain pumpkin puree rather than pumpkin pie filling.
- Adjust the maple syrup to taste.
